Videos in your galleries – cropping included
Some things are better told in motion than in ten individual images. From today, your own galleries will include short videos: up to 15 seconds, or up to two minutes with a Premium subscription. If a clip is too long, you can trim it beforehand on a timeline.

Fourteen queer radio stations from six countries
The radio bar has been up and running for two weeks, but for a long time it was little more than a promise. Now there are fourteen stations from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain and France – ranging from a gay radio programme that has been running since 1988, to club music from Maspalomas, right through to the Neue Deutsche Welle.

We’ll check your age ourselves – and Premium won’t be a subscription
Two decisions in one day, both along the same lines: we won’t be sending you to anyone else for the age verification check – we’ll carry it out ourselves – and your recordings will be deleted once the decision has been made. And Premium membership doesn’t renew automatically – you book a period, pay for it once, and that’s it.

Find members: search box, ‘All members’ and country selection
Under ‘Discover’, there is now a search box for usernames, alongside a list of all members. The lists no longer show just your search radius, but all countries – and you can choose with a single tap whether you want to see Germany, Austria, Switzerland or the Netherlands.

Log in using your username – and your location in the chat
You no longer need to remember which email address you used to register: you can now use your username in the login field. In the chat, a hint about your conversation partner’s location tells you where that is and how far away it is – and you can now paste images into the chat from the clipboard.

What's new today: your status for today, honest figures and a faster mobile phone
Tell everyone what you’re up to today: the new status appears as a coloured ring around your profile picture and expires automatically. What’s more, we’re counting founding members honestly rather than using a countdown, the homepage loads much faster on mobiles, and DaddyBoy is now open to search engines – though your profiles remain private.

Places: now with search, sorting – and with you
On the town and village pages, as a logged-in member, you can now see who lives there. The overview has a search box and can be sorted by number of members or alphabetically. And anyone who’d rather not appear in the tile grid for their town or village can opt out with a single click.

Rotating and cropping images – and a menu for your tablet
Is a photo upside down? From today, you can rotate it yourself, straight in the album. When uploading, you can also select the cropping area before the image goes through the review process. Also: ‘Places’ is now in the menu, tablets finally have navigation, and a message that shouldn’t have been there has been removed from video calls.
