We’ve all been there: one person wants to have a cosy chat, whilst the other’s already a million miles away after just three sentences. Neither of them is doing anything wrong; they just don’t know what the other is in the mood for at that moment. Now you can convey exactly that without having to say a word.
Four moods, one tip
In every chat you’ve joined, you’ll find a small line with four emojis just below the header:

😏 Flirty
🔥 Already feeling a bit horny
💦 Open to something erotic
One tap selects your mood, a second tap deselects it. You can also see your chat partner’s mood on the same four buttons: your choice is filled in, theirs has a ring around it. If you’re in the same mood, the button is filled in and lit up. That way, they know what to expect – and so do you.
Just for the two of you, and for each chat
Your mood only applies to this one chat. With one person you might just want to have a chat, whilst with another things might get steamy. No one else can see it – not in the search results, not on your profile, not in the feed. You can change it at any time, and no message or notification is sent out. If the person you’re chatting with changes their mood whilst you’re messaging, you’ll see it straight away.
A little extra protection when sending pictures
If you want to send an 18+ picture and the person you’re chatting with is currently set to ‘Just chatting’ or ‘Flirty’, the preview will ask you again whether the picture is appropriate right now. You can still send it – the decision is yours. It’s simply to ensure that nobody receives anything they weren’t expecting at that moment.
Setting a mood is optional. If you don’t choose one, your chat will stay just as you’re used to. You can find out more in the handbook under ‘Chats’.
