Here you’ll find anonymous, free places to turn to in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands when something is weighing on you.
Sometimes it all gets too much: worries about love, a difficult coming out, loneliness, heartache after a chat has ended, pressure or even violence. You don’t have to carry it alone. These services will listen to you – anonymously and free of charge.
Germany
For young people: you can reach the Nummer gegen Kummer on 116 111. At Jugendnetzwerk Lambda, queer young people advise queer young people by email and chat.
For everyone: TelefonSeelsorge is there around the clock on 0800 111 0 111, 0800 111 0 222 and 116 123, also by chat and email.
Austria
For young people: Rat auf Draht on 147, around the clock.
For everyone: TelefonSeelsorge Österreich on 142, around the clock.
Switzerland
For young people: Pro Juventute on 147, around the clock.
For everyone: Die Dargebotene Hand on 143, around the clock.
Netherlands
For young people: De Kindertelefoon on 0800 0432, daily from 11 am to 9 pm. COC Nederland helps with all things queer.
For everyone: 113 Zelfmoordpreventie on 113 or 0800 0113, around the clock, also by chat.
HIV and chemsex
Aidshilfe-Beratung offers anonymous online advice on HIV, protection, sex and drugs. The Deutsche Aidshilfe lists places to turn to for chemsex.
In an emergency
If you or someone else is in acute danger: call 112 in all four countries.
