A twink is a young, slim, usually not very hairy man with a boyish look – a label people use for themselves and for others.
On the gay scene, twink is the word for a young, slim man who usually has little body hair and looks boyish. As with all scene types, it’s about a look, not a fixed age – a twink is, of course, an adult.
Some proudly call themselves that, others don’t like hearing it. Used by others, twink isn’t always meant kindly and can sound dismissive, for example when it implies “just pretty, nothing more”. If in doubt, better ask how someone sees himself.
