“ts pmo” means “this shit pisses me off”, i.e. “this really annoys me”; “pmo” on its own can also mean “put me on”.
“ts pmo” is an abbreviation of “this shit pisses me off” – roughly “this really annoys me” or “this winds me up”. Whoever writes it is venting their annoyance, usually about something small: the train, the weather, the boss.
Careful with “pmo” on its own: it can also mean “put me on”, as in “show me that” or “get me into it”, for instance with a song or a series. The context usually tells you which is meant.
The abbreviation comes from African American Vernacular English (AAVE) and went viral in 2025.
In a chat you might read, for example: “Train 40 minutes late again, ts pmo”. A fitting reply would be: “Oh no, how annoying – did you at least get there all right?” A little sympathy is always the right call here.
If, on the other hand, you read “pmo, what are you listening to right now?”, the other person simply wants a tip from you.
